On Saturday 5-18-2024 Flanders Ambulance conducted a training using the departments electric and hydraulic tools. To some members it was a new experience and to others it was a refresher. It is a important piece of equipment on the ambulances if the ambulance crew needs to make an emergency extraction of a patient. Patient care comes first and will always be a priority before everything else. The members learned how to pop a door open, cut a windshield, stabilize a vehicle and cut a pillar. Thanks to Suffolk County Fire Academy for coming out and training our members.
