On February 9th, Flanders Ambulance was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. 7-17-18 was in route to the scene quickly. Southampton PD immediately set up a perimeter to give first responders some space from the traffic trying to get around the accident scene. Luckily the patient was wearing a helmet and a leather jacket to protect their person in the case of an accident. The patient was in stable condition and was transported promptly to a local hospital. Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance also assisted in the accident as there was a second patient later identified, they heard the accident come out over the radio and offered their assistance. Watch out for bikers as this seems to be a warm winter. Thanks to Southampton PD, State PD and Hampton Bays Ambulance for the help.
